Mental health problems in LGBT people

LGBT people are more at risk of experiencing trauma such as discrimination, stigma, rejection by family and violence, which means they are more likely to develop mental health problems as a consequence.  LGBT people are more likely to experience problems such as addiction, depression and anxiety, and more likely to have thoughts of hurting themselves.  LGBT people also experience stigma and discrimination when accessing healthcare services.  Dr Walsh has extensive experience helping LGBT people move forward towards better mental health, and provides an open, judgement-free, compassionate and safe space to discuss mental health problems.
